A manhunt was underway Friday night after two bombs exploded near the finish line of the Boston Marathon, killing three people and injuring more than 170 others.

He faces federal charges of using weapons of mass destruction resulting in death and malicious damage to property by means of an explosive device.

The FBI released photos of Tsarnaev and his brother Tamerlan, 26, who died during the shootout. Both men were wearing dark clothing and backpacks.
